Spring is fading. Summer is arriving. And your morning drink should know the difference.
As the days get longer and warmer, iced drinks become less of an indulgence and more of a necessity. This Lavender Matcha Latte is the one worth making on repeat. Clean, focused energy from Encha Lavender Matcha, layered with a creamy vanilla cold foam and a floral lavender finish that makes winding down feel as intentional as starting up.
The lavender does something unexpected here. Soft and floral without being perfumed, it takes the natural sweetness of the matcha and gives it depth. The kind of drink that feels considered without requiring much effort at all.
Why This One Works
Encha Lavender Matcha starts with the same ceremonial grade latte base as all our blends. Smooth, mellow, and latte-forward. The lavender adds a gentle floral lift that complements the natural umami of the matcha without overpowering it. Together they deliver clean energy that carries you through the day and a natural calm that makes the wind-down feel earned.

Lavender Matcha Latte with Cold Foam
Serves 1. About 6 minutes.
Ingredients
For the latte:
-
1 tsp Encha Lavender Matcha Powder
-
1/2 cup hot water
-
1/2 cup milk of choice
-
1 tbsp honey
-
Ice cubes
For the cold foam:
-
1/4 cup cold milk or cream
-
1/2 tsp lavender syrup (or 1/4 tsp dried lavender steeped with 1/2 tsp sugar)
-
1/2 tsp vanilla syrup
-
Frother
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the matcha
Add 1 tsp Encha Lavender Matcha to a bowl or cup. Pour in 5oz hot water at 160°F. Whisk briskly in a W motion for 15 seconds until smooth and lightly frothy. Stir in honey and set aside to cool slightly.
Step 2: Build the latte
Fill a glass generously with ice. Pour in your milk of choice, then add the cooled matcha mixture over the top. The layers will settle beautifully on their own.
Step 3: Make the vanilla cold foam
Add the cold milk or cream and vanilla syrup to a frothing cup. Froth until thick and creamy. Pour gently over the matcha latte to create a clean white layer.
Step 4: Make the lavender cold foam
Froth the lavender syrup with a splash of cold milk until light and airy. Spoon gently over the vanilla foam layer.
The result is three distinct layers. Vibrant green matcha at the base, white, creamy vanilla in the middle, and a soft lavender crown on top.
Sip slowly. This one is worth the moment.
A Few Tips Worth Knowing
Let the matcha cool before pouring over ice. This keeps the layers distinct and prevents the ice from melting too quickly.
Cold liquid froths better than warm. Make sure your milk or cream is well chilled before frothing for the best foam texture.
No lavender syrup? Steep 1/4 tsp of dried culinary lavender in 1/2 tsp of warm sugar syrup for a few minutes, strain, and use immediately. The flavor is subtle but worth it.
Go light on the lavender. It should complement the matcha, not compete with it.
Make It Your Own
Prefer it dairy-free? Full fat oat milk froths beautifully and gives the foam a naturally creamy texture.
Want it sweeter? Add an extra drizzle of honey to the matcha base before layering.
No time for two foam layers? A single lavender cold foam on top works just as well. The floral lift comes through either way.
Worth Making. Worth Savoring.
This is the drink that bridges the season. Clean energy from first-harvest Japanese matcha, a floral lift from lavender, and a foam layer that makes it feel like something special. It takes a few minutes. Tastes like considerably more.
As summer arrives, this is the ritual worth keeping.
